As Administrator Of Facilities, my key responsibilities are the ongoing physical upkeep, repair and maintenance of all facilities, and grounds, including off campus programs. I work with the Executive Leadership Team in planning and implementing all property management and capital improvement projects. As chair of our safety committee I’m responsible for monthly safety meetings, conducting drills and providing and updating safety and disaster plans for our institution. I have worked at MSHN for 1 year 4 months.
I have been in the facilities industry for 27 years. Mostly from a janitorial Directors background. I worked closely with maintenance managers, maintenance workers, and security/safety professionals throughout this time. I have managed large operational budgets and staff, and my close, continuous work with maintenance managers provided a deep, practical understanding of preventative and repair needs across multiple facilities. This background has uniquely positioned me to transition into my role as Administrator of Facilities, where I can apply my expertise in process optimization, cross-departmental collaboration, and facility condition assessment to drive efficiency and operational excellence.
My personal motivation revolves around family and making sure I’m doing everything to provide so they can have the opportunities I didn’t. My professional motivation is pushing myself to do things out of my comfort zone and strive at doing them.
I’m a people person and we have great people here. I have never worked in this type of environment. I didn’t know what to expect when I started. I really enjoy the people I work with and equally the people we serve.
I dedicate most of my spare time coaching little league football, watching TV and traveling when I can.
What Brings Me Joy at MSHN
Making sure that staff can continue doing this good work for our community in a safe and clean environment.
Favorite MSHN Memory
I have moments. My favorite moment at MSHN involves all staff day. Again, I’m a people person. I enjoy seeing staff I don’t see regularly and meeting new staff members.
