As Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, I am responsible for managing MSHN’s financial operations with a commitment to integrity, transparency and the strict adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Since joining the executive team in January 2023, I have utilized over 25 years of specialized fiscal, operational and administrative management experience to strengthen the organization’s accounting policies and procedures, internal controls, and overall financial health.
Throughout a career shaped by over two decades of nonprofit leadership, I have viewed my work as a professional extension of a personal calling. I am deeply motivated by the promise of Jeremiah 29:11, believing that my God-given purpose is to serve as a faithful steward of MSHN’s resources to ensure a “future and a hope” for the mission.
In my spare time, I remain dedicated to service through my active involvement at my church and as a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. Outside of my nonprofit and civic commitments, I find joy in traveling, spending time with my family, and cultivating an appreciation for the arts.
What I value most about the diverse culture at MSHN is the ability to lead with excellence while remaining my truly authentic self. A highlight of my tenure so far was the opportunity to facilitate staff training on new fiscal processes – a moment that combined my passion for financial precision with a love for teaching and team development.
